The Vivaldi Project continues its exploration of the string trio, following its path from Baroque trio sonata through its Classical form in the hands of some the late-18th century’s greatest composers.

Only a few of these string trios survive as celebrated works to modern audiences, notably the grand Divertimento in Eb by Mozart and the op.

Frank P. Corso, a hard working Italian immigrant who arrived in Biloxi at age 8, likely would have approved of how his family and their employees marked the wholesale distribution and vending company’s 90th anniversary. Everybody worked as normal, filling customer orders, stocking vending machines and generally taking care of the business he started in 1924.

Italian Street Painting Marin hires new program director

Italian Street Painting Marin has appointed Julie Jehly as its new program director. Jehly, of Rohnert Park, has a background in nonprofit fundraising, marketing and event planning. She will work with the nonprofit’s existing staff and volunteers to grow and expand the organization and its annual street painting event in downtown San Rafael.
